Off the Board:

As there was so much posted on Stars and Stripes Stone Guards, I couldn't help myself...

Off came the black ones... on went the Stars & Stripes!

The weekend left me with plenty of time to paint an old (slightly scratched) pair of Keith's Z3Solutions Stone Guards, appropriately, to meet with the recent resurgence of Patriotism which has swept our country. A movement which has nearly cleared every single American flag from the shelves of stores Nationwide. In fact I heard tonight that China is now working 'round the clock' to help fill orders of millions of Old Betsy.

While this is not the car flag which many have been looking for and whom "Beth" (bless her heart) has worked so diligently to order, in this red/white & blue drought, I think they work. When I stopped into my local dealer to check on a request for a new top from the service manager, a salesman spotted me pulling out, pointed and said, "I like!"  These along with the tiny antenna flag (above right) show where my heart is on this German (but American made, well mostly) Roaster extraordinaire.

The weather, since Tuesday, has been absolutely gorgeous, first 72° then today (Wed.) we hit 82°. It was so nice out last night that I didn't even bother to put up the top at 11pm and drove without jacket or gloves. We have already had mornings with temps in the mid thirties, so this must be our "Indian summer" which we can usually count on sometime in October. Below,  just a stop at the market for a few groceries, and of course I couldn't help but grab the Nikon to snap off a few more pics of her new RED, WHITE & BLUE Stone Guards.

I have also reworked the antenna flags that appeared here to fit the Z3 antenna more appropriately. Here is one for the taking, but you may also download a page of four (ready to print) as a MS Word 2000 document from this link. (This requires Word to be installed on your computer)

Printing on photo quality paper makes for a more durable end-product, but does not help make ink jet water-soluble inks, waterproof!
