BMW Roadster Homecoming 2003 (part5)

Our route Thursday was more of the same, in fact some of the roads were every bit as engaging as the Dragon, however this drive was far more than 11 miles. Bridal Falls was a planned stop along the way and was an excellent picture taking opportunity.

The reason I think I  liked the falls so much was probably because last year we totally missed it likely due to the very dry summer.

My favorite shot centers RADESIGN under the falls and I'm guessing Don & Michelle like it too!

Here at a gas & food stop (many of us did not have breakfast before leaving the Topoco Lodge) our lack of a lunch stop made a bag of chips mandatory! On our way down from the Dragon, we took so many twisties that we not only missed a few of our turns but actually lost the rear-half of our convoy. (fortunately for them, they didn't miss the right turn onto Rt. 178 and got to Spartenburg before us)

We finally arrived at the Zentrum, for what you might ask? (another pano-pic) This time with our tops on!

Than did an awesome job of melding together 4 or 5 shots but I am still amazed how the circular drive in front of the Zentrum  appears to be perfectly straight. I'm sure it was a tough job and if you check the large copy you may notice that Devin, Eric's son, looks a bit ghostly (or transparent).

A simply splendid job, all the same, thanks Than!

Dinner at Joe's Crab Shack Thursday evening:

from right to left: Denise (ZOOOM), Carol (Lady Z) Blaine (Z3 Big Daddy), Tom (Tahoe Tom) and his daughter Betsy.

Thursday night was a blur (again) but I did manage to meet a few folks to get them their RADesign Nickname labels

above Carolina Ken & Lin check his nametag in the larger view. I met up with good ole Blazeman and Jay Lilley (our resident Dinan expert from Nashville) outside the Marriott. We sampled too many of Blaze's wonderful home brews. Martin, I unofficially nominate you for Homecoming Brew Mister Extraordinaire. Your beers are truly excellent.

Jay joined in and tasted a few too, but you'll not believe this shot of the Blazeman taken last year? Can this be the same Martin we all know and love? Who is your hairdresser Blaze? Just kidding, but really Marty, your home brew was truly excellent.

And who should we meet but Cindy Reller our infamous North Ohio ZSCCA Rep who had to show Ron and me her Imola Red ///M, only the darkness outside spoiled the shot (sorry Cindy). Inside Mark Henry aka "Z3RIFFRAFF" logs on to post and update on the board on behalf the Scuba Convoy from the hotel lobby.

Homecoming 2003 via the again, yippee!
