Whew!
Thanks to a few very good friends, I DID make it to HC03 this year and here are are a few of those memories.
This year, for the first in the last four, it did not rain for a whole week! As in past accounts, some of small pics have links to larger ones in a new window so don't forget to check with our cursor on any that you would like a closer look at.
I picked up Denise ZOOOM Sunday night when her flight arrived from Zeattle.
(low light = slow shutter speed) :o( second shot was steadied against a nearby pillar.
We left Monday for Ron& Carol's place in time for a 5pm arrival. Top down (can you believe it) "all the way" from Monday 8/25 until Monday 9/1 around 3pm when we hit rain in mid-PA. (except overnight)
(below - shots taken on a silly little one-way-bridge off an exit on Rt. 17E in the middle of nowhere, NY while looking for a respite)
We stopped for some excellent gourmet pizza at Portofino's and found this quaint yard ornament shop next door.
We arrived in plenty of time to welcome Michelle (zee4girl) and her dad 'Don' to our over-night stop at the Weathers.
Below (left) may be the reason why the NW convoy called itself "Splat" (believe it or not this car was spotless before this 3 hour drive)
...and then we were three' (Z's that is)
