BMW Roadster Homecoming 2003 (part4)
Leaving the Topaco Lodge Thursday morning...
and a compulsory shot of the "Tree of Shame"
But before we left the Dragon some of us made a few more runs before departing for our hotel. This was a learning experience for some. Michelle hitched a ride in my 1.9l and got a feel for the balance of a 4 cylinder Z3.
At the bottom we saw this beautiful silver Viper, little did we know that only a few minutes later it would be nothing more than scrap metal. If you look at the larger pic you may note it is oil, not antifreeze which has sprayed all over the front. Looks like he did the engine in too?
Guess I really liked the falls, seems we totally missed it last year due to a very dry summer.
This one centers RADESIGN under the falls and must be Don & Michelle's (zee4girl) favorite:
At a gas & food stop (most of us did not have breakfast before leaving the Topoco Lodge) and our lack of a lunch stop made a bag of chips mandatory! On our way down from the Dragon, we took so many twisties that we not only missed too many turns but lost the rear-half our convoy. (fortunately for them, they didn't miss the right turn onto Rt. 178 and got to Spartenburg before us)!
We finally arrived at the Zentrum, for what you might ask? (another pano-pic) This time with our tops on! ;o)
Than did a very nice job of stitching together 4 or 5 shots, still I'm amazed how the circular drive in front of the Zentrum appears to be perfectly straight. I'm sure it was a tough job and if you check the large copy you may fine Devin, Eric's son looking a bit ghostly.
A simply splendid job, all the same, thanks!
