Off the Board:

Please allow me to introduce one of our newest (and prettiest) members of the Z3 Community to the Z3 Message Board...

a nickname I've suggested she use here on the board, since her Z3 resembles Goldeneye's 007 original, less it be an automatic rather than a manual transmission. :o(

I met Penny Billings Friday night at the picnic at the Peace Center and later learned how similar are stories were regarding our purchase and first Homecoming. She did almost precisely what I did the year before. She bought a 1997 1.9l in May, before leaning about the Z3 Message Board or the vast network of online enthusiasts. (like many of us, an impulsive and passionate purchase) She later found the board where she read a post from someone in the PA/JerZey group who mentioned meeting up in Roanoke at the Holiday Inn. She registered quite late for Homecoming (#493 if I recall) and ended up getting her registration packet only a day of two before leaving. But off she went all by herself, to meet up w/ Ed scuba of all people? (just kidding Ed) Thanks for the introduction!

Penny and I talked about the board being a great source of information for all enthusiasts with Z3 related questions. And also 'non-Z3 related questions' although since Tuesday 9/25 'they' must be relegated to the "Lounge." (However, here are some who have less endearing names for the place)

Can you believe this girl? Just the night before I had mentioned that if she wanted to be visible in the Panoramic Pic Saturday morning she'd need to get there by no later than 6am. If this girl doesn't beat that suggestion by a good 1½ hours and pulls in at 4:30am to be #12 in line for a spot right next to the center circle (6 raffled spaces)

Below MMP (Ms. MoneyPenny) puts her car though the paces at the performance Center on Friday afternoon, I can not be certain whether she or her friend  (whom I did not meet) is driving in these shots as they traded the wheel at least once during the slalom course alone.

In her own words, "The page you created for me gave me such a chuckle.....great job! I am so glad I took that trip"

So now that I've thoroughly embarrassed her, I'll bid farewell, ask that all you guys stop drooling all over the keyboards and I'll remind you that "I saw her first" LOL.

Zee you all on the road,

97ArcticSilver/red-blk/blk1.9lDinan Stage 1, Strong Strut brace, "Fogged" air box CAI, red calipers, and no power top (real roadsters don't have no fuggin' power top) - per "Wizzard" but we're not mentioning 'tops' right now.
